How do I add crew members to my company?

Sign in to the web portal at app.slatetablet.com as an Admin. Go to the Members section and use the Invite button to send an email invitation. Crew members will receive a link to create their account and join your company.

Where is my field data stored?

Field notes, level loops, invert records, and photos captured in the iOS app are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. Export your work as a PDF regularly to keep a backup.

How do I export a job as a PDF?

Open the job in the SlateTablet app, tap the Share button in the top-right corner, and select Export PDF. You can then send it via email, save it to Files, or share it directly with your client.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the sign-in screen at app.slatetablet.com, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You will receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

Can crew members see each other's field data?

No. Field data is stored on each crew member's device and is not shared through the platform. Admins can see member names and account activity in the portal, but not on-device field notes.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Email us at admin@slatetablet.com and we will cancel your subscription and confirm in writing. Your account remains active until the end of your current billing period.

The app isn't loading or is crashing. What should I try?

First, force-quit the app and reopen it. If the issue persists, check that your iOS is up to date, then delete and reinstall SlateTablet from the App Store. If you still have trouble, email us with your device model and iOS version.

Is my data deleted if I cancel?

Server-side account data (your name, email, and company record) is retained for 30 days after cancellation to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted. On-device field data is not affected by cancellation — it stays on your device until you delete the app.
